The Piscataqua Maritime Commission proudly hosts Sail Portsmouth each summer, and will again in 2019 bring the Eagle to the New Hampshire Seacoast. Activities include the Parade of Sail, Deck Tours, Captain's Reception, Day Sails, Exhibits, Food, Music, and Souvenirs! A fun event for pirates of all ages!

The Eagle will be open for tours from Friday August 2 through Sunday August 4.  Tours run from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM each day.  Military and First Responders may begin tours beginning at 9:00 AM each day.

Tickets and Donations

Since the USCG Eagle is owned by the American people, there is no charge for tours.  We ask every one to consider a donation to the PMC so that we can continue to offer our Sea Challenge sail training program.  A family donation of $20 will include a one year membership to the PMC that includes our newsletter delivered electronically.

The USCG Eagle will lead The Parade of Sail
Thursday August 1, 2019 6:00 PM

Boat owners are encouraged to join the thrilling Parade of Sail up the Piscataqua and escort the Eagle to its berth at the State Pier (Port Authority).  When the weather permits, the Coast Guard will provide aerial cover.  Joined by fireboats from the Navy and local fire departments, the Parade of Sail is best witnessed from the good viewing spots on Four Tree Island, the Kittery Point Yacht Club and the Memorial Bridge sidewalk in Portsmouth, the Great Island Common on New Castle Island, and Ft. Foster in Kittery, Maine.  Don't miss it.

Welcoming Ceremony

A Welcoming Ceremony officially opens Sail Portsmouth each year. During the ceremony, the PMC and local dignitaries and politicians make sure the ships, their captains and crews and our visitors feel welcome to be part of the celebration.  The Welcoming Ceremony will take place shortly after the Eagle docks on Thursday August 1, 2019.  It will be held at the State Pier.

Captain's Reception

The Piscataqua Maritime Commission will host the Captain's Reception again in 2019.  We will recognize the Captains and Crews of the tall ships as well as the many sponsors who make this tall ship celebration possible.

Volunteer's Barbecue and Celebration

Sail Portsmouth is  not possible without all our wonderful volunteers.  In appreciation of all their work, PMC will host a dockside barbecue for all volunteers.  The Volunteer's event will take place Sunday August 4.

Private On-board Receptions

Is your group interested in hosting a catered, evening reception aboard the Eagle?  We can help make it happen. It is a classy way for businesses to thank  customers and clients, or non-profits to thank donors.  It could also be a fun event for your club or association.
